Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1/3 lb bulk sausage
- 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
- salt and pepper
- 1 cup minute rice
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 (11 ounce) can sauerkraut
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 head cabbage
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 mix first 6 ingredients together.
- 3 coarsely chop cabbage.
- 4 arrange meat mixture & cabbage in layers in a greased 2-21/2 quart casserole dish.
- 5 pour tomato sauce over all and top with saurkraut.
- 6 drizzle with ketchup and brown sugar.
- 7 bake for 1 1/2 hours or until cabbage is tender and meat and rice are cooked.
- 8 serve with mashed potatoes.
