Cabbage Roll Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1/3 lb bulk sausage
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup minute rice
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 (11 ounce) can sauerkraut
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 head cabbage

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 mix first 6 ingredients together.
  • 3 coarsely chop cabbage.
  • 4 arrange meat mixture & cabbage in layers in a greased 2-21/2 quart casserole dish.
  • 5 pour tomato sauce over all and top with saurkraut.
  • 6 drizzle with ketchup and brown sugar.
  • 7 bake for 1 1/2 hours or until cabbage is tender and meat and rice are cooked.
  • 8 serve with mashed potatoes.
