Curried Tuna Slice

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 sheets frozen pastry dough, thawed
  • 425 g tuna, drained & flaked
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/3 cup spring onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • beaten egg, for glaze

Recipe

  • 1 using 2 sheets of pastry, line a lightly greased 28cm x 18cm slice tin.
  • 2 combine remaining ingredients and spoon into pastry-lined tin, pressing down well.
  • 3 using remaining pastry, cover the filling, trim edges and crimp. use the pastry scraps to decorate the top.
  • 4 glaze & cut a vent in pastry top.
  • 5 bake in a moderate oven for 35 mins or until golden brown.
  • 6 can be served hot or cold.
