Cookie Delights

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 2 cups bran flakes
• 2 cups raisins
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in 2 tsp. water

Recipe

• 1 cream shortening and sugar.
• 2 add eggs and beat well.
• 3 add vanilla.
• 4 mix dry ingredients.
• 5 add to creamed mixture.
• 6 add soda and water.
• 7 knead to smooth dough
• 8 roll to 1/4 inch thickness.
• 9 cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter.
• 10 bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 for 8 - 10 minutes.
