Chunky Chocolate Jam Bars

Ingredients

  • Servings: 34
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 5 squares baker's semi-sweet baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar raspberry jam

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350. mix flour, borwn sugar and baking powder in a large bowl. cut in the butter with a pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • 2 add oats, coconut, and pecans; mix well.
  • 3 press half the crumb mixture firmly onto the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking pan; sprinkle with chopped chocolate.
  • 4 spoon jam over top; sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.
  • 5 bake 25 to 35 minutes pr until lightly browned. cool completely on wire rack.
