Chocolate Chip Snowflake Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (or whatever flavoring you'd like)
- 4 egg whites (unbeaten)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chip (i use milk chocolate)
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350 degrees f.
- 2 grease and flour two 8 or 9 inch cake pans or 9 1/2x 13 inch cake pan.
- 3 put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
- 4 add shortening, milk and vanilla.
- 5 beat 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping sides and bottom of bowl constantly.
- 6 add egg whites and beat for another 2 minutes.
- 7 fold in chocolate chips.
- 8 pour into cake pan/pans.
- 9 bake for 35-40 mintes for the layers or 40-45 for oblong pan.
- 10 cool and ice as you wish.
