Braised Cabbage/tanzanian

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 lbs cabbage, cut in 1 inch wedges
  • 1/2 cup red onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup beef stock or 1 cup vegetable stock

Recipe

  • 1 saute onions, cabbage and seasonings in oil, just until it loses it's crispiness.
  • 2 add beef stock.
  • 3 simmer for 5 minutes.
