Chickpea Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 240 g chickpeas
  • 240 g lentils
  • 3 cups stock
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 7 g sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 60 g bacon, diced
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil and cook carrot, onion, celery and bacon until they soften. add cumin, chilli flakes, soy sauce and garlic. add the chickpeas, the water and stock.
  • 2 simmer for 30 minutes. season with salt and pepper, sesame seeds and serve.
