Bourbonless Chicken

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 boneless skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat and cut in half
  • salt
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sherry wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Recipe

  • 1 place the chicken in a 9x13-inch baking dish in a single layer and sprinkle with the salt and pepper.
  • 2 in a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients; pour evenly over the chicken; cover the dish with foil and let marinate in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
