Crisco Tuna Chip Casserole

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup crumbled potato chips
  • 2 (7 ounce) cans tuna fish, drained and flaked (about 2 cups of tuna)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350f, have ready a lightly greased casserole dish.
  • 2 in a saucepan over medium heat, melt shortening; blend in flour, salt, and pepper.
  • 3 add milk and worcestershire sauce and cook until thick and smooth, whisking constantly; remove from heat.
  • 4 place 1/4 of the chips in the bottom of the casserole dish; top with 1/3 of the tuna.
  • 5 repeat layers, ending with a topping of potato chips.
  • 6 pour the sauce over all and cook in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
