Chili Con Carne

Total Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (19 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1 (7 1/2 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 2 bay leaves

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, cook until evenly browned, beef, onions and green peppers.
  • 2 stir in rest of ingredients. bring to a boil, cover. reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  • 3 remove bay leaf.
  • 4 serve with hot rolls, and a salad.
