Chili-cheese Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 3/4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 cups instant potato flakes
  • 2 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chilies
  • 1 cup shredded mexican blend cheese or 1 cup cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 in large saucepan, bring the water, milk and salt to a boil.
  • 2 add the butter, garlic, potato flakes and chilies.
  • 3 stir until thickened.
  • 4 sprinkle with cheese.
