Amsterdam Mashed Potatoes

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (16 ounce) can sauerkraut
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup cream (you can add milk like i have to)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups instant potato flakes

Recipe

  • 1 saute onion in butter
  • 2 add sauerkraut you can drain it ,if thats what you do.
  • 3 saute until onion light gold
  • 4 add water.
  • 5 bring to a boil
  • 6 add potatoes.
  • 7 mix in cream to desired thickness.
