Cranberry Chutney

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 3/4 lbs tart apples, cored,peeled and chopped
  • 2 1/4 lbs cranberries
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3/4 teaspoon chili pepper flakes
  • 1/2 lb dark raisin

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  • 2 cook over medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes, or until chutney has condensed down and apples are only slightly crisp.
  • 3 (if using frozen cranberries, increase cooking time to 35-40 minutes.).
