Chinese-style Honey Garlic Chili Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 -2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl, stir together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, 1/4 cup water, and cornstarch.
  • 2 put the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. let it warm up for about 30 seconds, then add the garlic and cook until fragrant and just starting to color, 15-30 seconds.
