Cheesy Tex-mex Hash Browns Casserole

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 (30 ounce) package frozen shredded hash browns, thawed slightly
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
  • 2 cups cubed mild velveeta mexican cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 (4 1/2 ounce) can diced green chilies
  • 1 1/2 cups corn flake crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients except topping, in a large bowl.
  • 2 spread evenly in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • 3 mix melted butter and corn flake crumbs in small bowl.
  • 4 sprinkle over potatoes.
  • 5 cover with tin foil and bake for 20 minutes at 350°f.
  • 6 uncover and continue to bake for 30 to 35 minutes more, until heated through.
