Chile Lemon Roasted Broccoli

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb fresh broccoli
  • 1 red jalapenos or 1 fresno chile or 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425°. cut broccoli into florets. remove stem and seeds and finely slice the chile. cut 4 strips of zest from the lemon. in a roasting pan, toss broccoli, chile, and lemon zest with the oil. spread into a single layer and sprinkle with the salt.
  • 2 roast until broccoli is tender and starting crisp on its edges. halve zested lemon and squeeze fresh juice (about a tablespoon) over cooked broccoli.
