Broccoli-garlic Stir-fry

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 lb fresh broccoli (cut into medium-size pieces)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 5 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 1 -2 tablespoon fresh minced garlic (can use less)
  • 1 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • sesame seeds (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl combine together the soy sauce, green onions, brown sugar, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes; mix well to combine.
  • 2 heat the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat; stir-fry until crisp-tender (about 3-5 minutes).
  • 3 add in the soy sauce mixture until thoroughly heated and coated well.
  • 4 season with black pepper if desired.
  • 5 transfer to a bowl and toss with sesame seeds.
