Apple Pie Bars

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup vegetable shortening (not oil)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk (up to 2/3 cup)
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed corn flakes
  • 12 -14 apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 crust:.
  • 3 in a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda.
