Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter (seperated)
  • 1 3/4 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 melt 2 tbls butter in skillet; add coconut.
  • 2 stir constantly while cooking over low heat until golden brown.
  • 3 spread coconut on absorbent paper to cool.
  • 4 cream remaining butter with cream cheese.
  • 5 add milk, then beat in sugar gradually.
  • 6 blend in vanilla and stir in coconut.
  • 7 spread on cake.
