Christmas Bran Muffins

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 shredded wheat biscuits (each is about 2 1/2 by 4 inches)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/8 cup butter
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-bran cereal (or generic bran flakes)
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Recipe

  • 1 pour boiling water over shredded wheat biscuits. let cool.
  • 2 cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.
  • 3 add cooled shredded wheat
