Deep Fried Garlic

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 whole fresh bulbs of garlic
- boiling water
- 1 cup biscuit mix
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup beer
- 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Recipe
- 1 separate bulbs and peel garlic.
- 2 drop cloves into boiling water and when boiling resumes, blanch for about 3-4 minutes. the longer the cloves cook the milder their flavor, but don't overcook or they will be mushy.
- 3 drain and pour cold water over to cool.
- 4 meanwhile, prepare batter by combining biscuit mix, egg, beer, parsley and salt.
- 5 heat vegetable oil in deep pot or fry cooker.
- 6 dip each cooked clove of garlic into batter and fry until golden brown in color.
- 7 remove from oil and drain on paper towel.
- 8 serve hot.
