Butterscotcharoon Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened
- 2 egg whites, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Recipe
- 1 combine 1 cup flour,brown sugar and salt.
- 2 cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs;press into bottom of greased 9-inch square pan.
- 3 bake at 350°f for 10 minutes.mix together egg whites,sugar,2 tablespoons of flour and vanilla in a large bowl.
- 4 add coconut and butterscotch chips;stir lightly to combine.
- 5 spoon coconut mixture over baked layer.
- 6 bake an additional 18 to 20 minutes;cool before cutting into bars.
