Coconut Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) can flaked coconut

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, cream the margarine, shortening, and sugar.
  • 2 add the eggs, one at a time, beating 2 minutes after each.
  • 3 add flour alternately with milk; mix to combine.
  • 4 stir in the flavorings and coconut until well mixed.
  • 5 pour batter into a well greased 10-inch tube pan.
  • 6 bake in a non-preheated oven at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
