Coconut Pecan Frosting

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup canned milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup crisco
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 2/3 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 in sauce pan, combine sugar, canned milk, egg yolks, crisco, and vanilla.
  • 2 cook, stirring constantly over medium heat 12 minutes.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 add coconut and pecans, mixing until frosting is thick, let stand 15 minutes.
  • 5 spread ontop of cake layers.
