Nontraditional Crab Dip

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 (8 ounce) package imitation crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced jalapeno pepper
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded monterey jack cheese

    Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins Ready Time: 30 mins

  • preheat the oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c).
  • in a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese, imitation crab, green onion, garlic, lemon juice, jalapeno and 1 cup shredded cheese. transfer to an oven safe serving dish, or nice pie plate. sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the top.
  • bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges are boiling and cheese has melted in the center.
