Chicken With Creamy Paprika Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 8 ounces light sour cream with chives or 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Recipe

  • 1 place sliced onion in bottom of slow cooker topped with chicken.
  • 2 mix broth and paprika and pour over chicken.
  • 3 sprinkle salt on top.
  • 4 cook on low setting 7 to 8 hours or until chicken is done.
  • 5 with a slotted spoon, remove chicken from slow cooker and place on warm platter.
  • 6 cover with alumnimum foil and place in preheated 200 degree oven.
  • 7 pour pan drippings into small sauce pan and mix with cornstarch mixture.
  • 8 heat until thickened about 10 minutes.
  • 9 sir in sour cream.
  • 10 pour sauce over chicken.
