Coconut Chocolate Walnut Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup coarsly chopped walnuts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 butter a 9" square baking pan.
- 3 sift the flour, baking soda and salt together into a mixing bowl.
- 4 cream butter with sugars in another bowl until light and fluffy.
- 5 beat in egg and vanilla.
- 6 add coconut, chips, and walnuts and blend well.
- 7 pour into pan and smooth out evenly.
- 8 bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minute or until top is golden brown.
- 9 center will be slightly moist with toothpick test.
- 10 allow to cool and cut into bars (about 24).
