Coconut Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (9 inch) frozen pie crusts, ready-to-bake, thawed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups frozen whipped topping

Recipe

  • 1 bake pie shell according to package directions; set aside to cool.
  • 2 in a medium saucepan, whisk milk, eggs, coconut, sugar, flour, butter, vanilla, and salt together.
  • 3 cook over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes, or until thickened.
  • 4 pour into baked pie shell.
  • 5 chill at least 4 hours, or until set.
  • 6 spread whipped topping over pie and serve.
