Brazilian Corn Cookies (broinhas)

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 8 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fine cornflour
  • 1 cup tapioca starch or 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 tablespoons flaked coconut
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 mix flours, baking powder, and flaked coconut.
  • 3 beat butter or margarine, eggs, and sugar together.
  • 4 add flour mixture.
  • 5 knead with hands until smooth.
  • 6 make small balls, place on greased cookie sheet, and gently flatten with a fork.
  • 7 bake until golden.
