20's Style Crunchy Carrots

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 5 large carrots
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 wash & peel the carrots.
  • 2 fill the saucepan 1/2 full with water. place on medium-high heat to boil.
  • 3 meanwhile,using the paring knife and cutting board,slice the carrots into 1/4 inch slices.
  • 4 boil the carrots for 10 minutes.
  • 5 preheat the oven to 400 degrees farenhight.
  • 6 drain the carrots into a colander,then place them into a baking dish. place teaspoons of margarine or butter evenly over the carrots. then,crumble the cornflakes over the carrots. sprinkle with salt.
  • 7 bake for 10 minutes. use oven mitts to remove from the oven.
  • 8 serve warm.
