Coconut Bread

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 teaspoons coconut extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup , shaved nuts make sure they are shaved (your preferance, walnuts, almond...)
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  • glaze
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients together except for coconut flakes and nuts.
  • 2 after mixing ingredients gradually add coconut flakes and nuts.
  • 3 bake at 325 for 45-50 minutes.
  • 4 glaze.
  • 5 add all ingredients into a small pot and let it boil for 10 minutes, it should become a 'syrupy' consistency.
